Vadodara – I Commissionerate was carved out of the erstwhile combined Vadodara Commissionerate which was the highest revenue paying commissionerate in the country.

The Vadodara-I Commissionerate has 5 Divisions and Service Tax cell is centtralised with Division III.

Consequent upon the reorganization of the Vadodara-I Commissionerate, the Central Excise & Customs Vadodara-I Commissionerate came into existence from 01.11.2002 and is having Jursidiction over the areas to the west of the Vadodara-Mumbai Railway Line and the whole of Anand District.

Division IV:

Area south of Ahmedabad –Vadodara railway line. Area north of bajwa refinery roda upto Undera crossing. North of koyali-Umeta road upto sherki crossing. North of Sherkhi Bhimpura roda upto bhimpura crossing, excluding IPCL complex and area falling to the north of IPCL boundary and south of IPCAL road from Dhanora village to Ahmedabad –Vadodara railway line.
